From the island bedroom window.

The excitement builds as my little study program, a game, a text adventure game takes on life.

It was a slow progress but the road led it's way to the text adventure game. I had been writing in javascript and then shifted to Visual Basic. I had been playing around re discovering some old Visual Basic games I had created in Visual Basic 4.5 I got to a certain point and realized I had vb 8 why not use it and learn it.

In the new landscapes of Visual Basic 8 is where I have been most the month. I even ordered some Visual Basic books and now starting the slow uphill road to learning to program in it.

Basically, I do all the book examples but the new stuff I learn I transpose it into a game program I am writing. It is a text adventure. Much like the old games where it is mostly text based, I have all kinds buttons so typing is minimal. You still can add commands if you think of something special you want to try. I figure not only do I learn the language but I get a decent game out of it as well.

Everyone who has seen the text adventure game so far gets a few laughs, (parts of it, are extremely funny) and they say they like it. So if I am a little minimal on the talking in the monthly journal know I am typing select code that is option explicit.

Let us not forget the world markets had a shake down in Martin Luthur King day. I think, it is time, if we haven't already, start thinking and acting different.

I still can't believe some people, the way they drive, the way they just throw things out the windows of their cars... What goes around comes around. Oh to be a hawk, and to be able to watch, when garbage gets thrown back, through the windows of their lives! The other day, someone wrote me and said they don't agree with me. I smiled when they said that. It sure beats the lack of messages, that seems to be the norm.

Land Mark Changes in the Kingdom of vog

This month marks the end of a tradition. Gallery World is going out the door. The Wild Boys Journal now takes it place. One more month and that site would have had a five year history. It is time to move on. Things are different now.

Some guys don't seem to get it. I do share my best photos with those guys that prove they have contributed to a local charity. They are called Members around here. The only way you are going to get in on the trading is, make a donation to a worthwhile cause, and save your receipt. Once you done that let me know and be prepared to send the receipt as proof. Enough said. You figure.

Google's toolbar is spyware: With the advanced features enabled, Google's free toolbar phones home with every page you surf, and yes, it reads your cookie too. Their privacy policy confesses this, but that's only because Alexa lost a class-action lawsuit when their toolbar did the same thing, and their privacy policy failed to explain this. Worse yet, Google's toolbar updates to new versions quietly, and without asking. This means that if you have the toolbar installed, Google essentially has complete access to your hard disk every time you connect to Google (which is many times a day). Most software vendors, and even Microsoft, ask if you'd like an updated version. But not Google. Any software that updates automatically presents a massive security risk. Be careful anyone who uses this software plug-in! No one knows...there's some seriously odd coding in the toolbar programming that seasoned coders on forums have been arguing about for yonks! That, allied to their dubious privacy policy makes me wary enough to stay away! Yeah its funny the way you get used to a browser and tend to stick with it...i'm like that too...ive been with Firefox for years...although Opera is very good and the fastest browser ive used! - ned carlsen

I dont use a cell phone much. I cant believe the gouging on prepaid cell phones. as Net 10 said the evil. I had to agree and laugh.

Write me and tell me what you think
I have done a number of web sites with a number of themes. This is the first time that I ramble, just ramble. Please let me know if you like this kind of thing and I will be more inspired to really get into it. I hope you have enjoyed the first major copy of the return of The Wild Boys Gay Journal.

Please leave me a note.... don't feel obligated to put in an email address, unless you want me to write you back. Just tell me what you are think of this first issue.

You may have noticed the complete lack of commerical ads or links to Google (spyware) or any such like on this web site.
We at wildboysnet.com are not about making money.
We work to assist others in need. We enjoy helping other organizations which build new schools, orphanages and other community buildings. Here in the U.S. of A and other countries.

The above photo caption could easily read. "Man, I thought you knew... I was asexual."
